Considering that AMOLED produces light from individual pixel the brightness level on the display is less as compared to the LCD. Also, the colors on AMOLED looks much better than that of LCD because of naturally higher saturation.
If Energy consumption is considered, AMOLED consumes less power as compared to LCD. This is because within the LCD the entire backlight is on whereas AMOLED is producing most light, a black pixel will be off which consumes less energy.
Another advantage of LCD over AMOLED is you don’t have to worry about the burn-in on your screen. AMOLED still challenges with this problem but on LCD you can leave any image regarding no matter how long and you won’t notice any weird shapes on your display but sadly this is not the case along with AMOLED.
